The use of ICTs is becoming increasingly common, not only in everyday life, but within classrooms as well. The ICT, Socrative, is a tool for fun and effective formative assessment. This ICT allows teachers to engage students on a range of devices for class activities. Teachers can use this ICT to record students’ results, and evaluate student progress. Socrative can be embedded into the classroom as a tool to assess student knowledge, where individual or group work can be determined - based on the teacher’s decision. Additionally, students’ strengths and weaknesses can be identified by Socrative in learning activities, by quizzing the class on topics relevant to summative assessment.
